The history of the SIG Combibloc beverage carton is only a few years shorter and dates back to the invention of ‘Perga’, Europe’s first beverage carton.

The SIG Combibloc Group is organised on a regional basis. The four regions – Americas, Europe, Middle East and Asia-Pacific – are responsible for operational activities. A lean global management system defines the basic strategy and key framework conditions. With this simple, clear structure, we work right alongside the customer, thus ultimately providing the best value creation and optimal service for our customers.

For machines, lines and complete factories – Krones, the one-stop shop The Krones Group, headquartered in Neutraubling, Germany, plans, develops and manufactures machines and complete lines for the fields of process, filling and packaging technology. Its product portfolio is rounded off by information technology, factory planning and products from Krones’ subsidiaries as intralogistics, valve production etc.

Every day, millions of bottles, cans, and special-shaped containers are handled on lines from Krones, particularly in breweries, the soft-drinks sector and at producers of still or sparkling wines and spirits, but also in the food and luxury-goods industries, plus the chemical, cosmetics and pharmaceutical sectors.

Since being founded in 1951, Krones has become far more than a traditional-style machinery and line manufacturer: it has evolved into an all-round vendor for its clients. Mechanical engineering, line expertise, process engineering, microbiology and information technology have here been harmoniously integrated for optimum synergies. Top technology for ecologically efficient production

Achieving more with less: The demand for an ecologically efficient production in the industrial goods business has been there for quite a while now, for a good reason: On the one hand, the legislative organs as well as the consumers are focussing more and more on means of production that preserve resources. On the other hand, they bring about advantages also to the operating companies - if they do not affect performance or profitability, of course.

Therefore, the cumulative innovation power of Krones design and development unfolds in the enviro machines. Only in this way can we meet the standards that we have set for ourselves: equipping the beverage and food industry with trendsetting technology that allows for a production that is performant and, at the same time, gentle on resources.

In order to assure you that we are actually meeting these demands, we have placed enviro on the test stand and had it certified by an independent expert, the TЬV SЬD. The result: Krones machines that don the enviro seal meet at least the EME standard and thus fulfil all requirements for economic as well as energy and media-efficient production.
